What is Sport'Aide, and when should I contact it?

Sport'Aide is an independent nonprofit in Québec that provides support, listening and guidance to people in the sport, recreation and outdoor sector who have been affected by violence. Its mission is to help create a safe, healthy and harmonious environment for everyone involved at all levels. It has operated in the Québec sports ecosystem since 2018.

Its help service (À l'écoute) deals with uncomfortable or problematic situations in sport, recreation or outdoor activities, such as harassment, sexual violence, bullying, neglect, and physical or psychological violence. People who have experienced or witnessed such situations, including parents, athletes, coaches and managers, can contact it. If you are unsure whether it can help, Sport'Aide says to contact it and it will refer you to appropriate resources.
