Under the LTA Acceptance & Seeding Criteria for mini (ball-colour) events:
| Grade | Who gets in if it's oversubscribed | Seeding |
|---|---|---|
| Grade 5 (local) | First come, first served by date and time of entry; exact ties decided by Recent Form | Recent Form |
| Grades 1 to 4 (county, regional, national) | Recent Form at the closing deadline; ties drawn by lot | Recent Form |
Recent Form is your child's best three individual tournament performances at that ball colour in the last six months.
Tips that follow from the rules:
- For local (grade 5) events, entering early matters.
- Note the withdrawal deadline on the fact sheet. Pulling out after it brings Withdrawal Points (except in 8U events).
- Wild cards can be given for up to one in every eight places in a draw.
- Your child can only enter their own age group and the one above.
