The 2026 WAG Technical Regulations define the two judging components used in women's artistic scoring (from the FIG Code of Points):
- Difficulty (D): the value of the elements, connection values or special requirements.
- Execution (E): the aesthetic, technical and compositional errors of a routine.
The regulations define "calculation of score" as the sum of the score for each technical component, the method used to reach the final score. Judges are accredited by level for both: for example, an Intermediate judge can judge execution and difficulty for Levels 1 to 6, and an Advanced judge Levels 1 to 10.
The four apparatus are Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor. The rules listed for the Levels program are the WAG Australian Levels Program (ALP) manual version 3.2 and the FIG Code of Points (2022 to 2024 for the ALP).
