The Australian Levels Program (ALP) pathway in the 2026 WAG Technical Regulations is:
- Levels 1 and 2: skills levels
- Levels 3 to 6: compulsory routines
- Level 7: optional routines
- Levels 8, 9 and 10: age categories apply at national championships
- International levels: Future International, Developing International and Senior International. The recommended pathway to the international levels is through Future International.
- Masters: compete in National Clubs Carnival divisions
The framework shows Levels 1 and 2 at club level, and competition levels running through club, state championship, National Clubs Carnival and national championship events. Athletes move up by passing a level; the regulations give recommended all-around pass marks (see the pass mark question). At the National Clubs Carnival a gymnast may compete in the level she is qualified for or higher. The four apparatus are Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor.
The full level requirements are in the WAG ALP Manual version 3.2, which Gymnastics Australia sells as a printed book through its shop.
