Under the 2026 WAG Technical Regulations:
- Minimum age: 11 years in the year of the event.
- Level 8 and 9 teams: state and territory associations select their own teams, following their own published regulations. Only athletes who have passed the relevant level can be nominated. Level 8 and 9 athletes in the top 32 all-around on Day 1 in their Under or Open division go on to Day 2 finals, and an athlete in the top 6 on an apparatus in their age group can also be included for that apparatus.
- Individual Level 10 athletes (in addition to the state team): an all-around score of 46.00, or a minimum 3-apparatus score of 36.00, or a minimum 2-apparatus score of 25.50, or on a single apparatus Vault 13.50, Bars 12.00, Beam 12.50 or Floor 13.00. Athletes qualifying on fewer than four apparatus may compete on those apparatus only.
- Scores must be earned in one session at a state qualification or national sanctioned event on the 2026 state, territory or Gymnastics Australia calendar, judged by appropriately qualified judges (at least 2 per apparatus).
- Future International: minimum all-around score 44.00 (age 10 or older within a state, 12 or older at national events).
- Developing International: 44.00 (13 to 15 years) or 45.00 (16 and over).
- Senior International (16 and over): 47.00 all-around, or a minimum of 2 of 4 apparatus scores (Vault 13.00, Bars 12.00, Beam 12.00, Floor 12.00).
Level 10, Future, Developing and Senior International athletes who compete on Day 1 automatically qualify for Day 2.
