- Shin pads are compulsory in mini-soccer and must be covered entirely by knee-length socks.
- Footwear must suit the surface. No metal studs on 3G or other artificial grass pitches.
- No hoodies. In poor weather children should wear suitable warm clothing, but not hooded tops.
- No jewellery of any kind (Law 4 of the Laws of the Game).
- Goalkeepers (from Under 8) wear a different coloured shirt from the rest of the team. No player, including the goalkeeper, may wear black or very dark shirts.
- The ball is size 3 for every mini-soccer age group.
If a player wears clothing as a requirement of their faith, The FA expects the referee to allow it. Wearing shorts over tracksuit bottoms isn't required and shouldn't stop anyone playing.
