The compulsory equipment for a player is:
- a shirt with sleeves
- shorts
- socks (any tape or material worn externally must be the same colour as the part of the sock it covers)
- shinguards, made of suitable material, an appropriate size to give reasonable protection, and covered by the socks (players are responsible for their size and suitability)
- footwear
A player whose footwear or shinguard is lost accidentally must replace it as soon as possible and no later than when the ball next goes out of play. Undershirts must be a single colour matching the main colour of the shirt sleeve, and undershorts or tights must match the main colour of the shorts.
