Which British Gymnastics membership type does my child need?

The membership year runs from October to September. For 2026/27 the gymnast membership types are:
| Type | Who it's for |
|---|---|
| Preschool gymnast | Children not yet in full-time education during the membership year |
| Recreational gymnast | Gymnasts training from once a week up to competing in local and some regional competitions |
| Competitive gymnast | Gymnasts competing in official pathway events at regional, national and British Championships level |
You can add more than one child to one account ("Add Family Member" in My BG), and a child can belong to more than one club on the same membership; you just add the extra club. If your child moves up to competing, you can upgrade their membership in My BG.
