What does my child learn in Tackers 2 (Tricks & Techniques)?

Tackers 2 is the intermediate level: a recommended 20 hours for children who are water confident, aged 7 to 12, and have completed Tackers 1. It builds on the fun of Tackers 1 to progress sailing skills. By the end, children should be able to:
- get out of irons on their own
- gybe the boat safely
- use the tiller extension correctly
- sail a triangle course: upwind, tacking through the no-go zone; downwind with the centreboard up; and reaching with correct sail position
- demonstrate 360 and 720 degree turns
Children receive a Tackers 2 completion certificate.
