- Parent umpires
Signal once the ball is dead, facing the scorers, and wait until they wave back to show they've got it.
- Out: index finger raised above your head
- Four: arm waved side to side across your chest
- Six: both arms raised straight above your head
- Wide: both arms stretched out horizontally
- No-ball: one arm stretched out horizontally
- Bye: one open hand raised above your head
- Leg bye: touch a raised knee with your hand
- Dead ball: cross and re-cross your wrists below your waist
- Short run: bend one arm up and touch your shoulder with your fingertips
If there's more than one thing to signal (for example a wide that also went for four), give each signal in turn.
