What exactly is my job as the main umpire?

You stand behind the stumps at the bowler's end and run the game. You:
- count the balls and call "over"
- call wides, no-balls and dead balls
- decide appeals for bowled, caught and hit wicket, and run outs at your end
- signal boundaries, byes, leg byes, wides, no-balls and dismissals to the scorers
- keep the game safe, stopping play for injuries or bad weather.
The square leg umpire backs you up from the striker's end. Run outs at that end are their call, and they help with anything you couldn't see clearly.
Keep the game moving and remember it's about the kids learning and enjoying the game.
