The 2026 Dusi race rules set these strict cut-offs:

The race rules set no fixed cut-off time for Day 1 (Bishopstowe to Dusi Bridge).
Safety: the organisers may tell paddlers to withdraw at any point if, in their sole discretion, it is unsafe to carry on (rule 1.11). Medical officers or officials may order a competitor to stop if continuing would endanger their health (rule 13.4).
