Ringette Canada's National Officials Certification Program (NOCP) has five levels. Full certification at a lower level is required before the next one.
| Level | Minimum requirements |
|---|---|
| 1 | E-module, 4-hour clinic, 1-hour on-ice clinic, online exam (50%). Minimum age is set by the provincial association. |
| 2 | E-module or case study, 5-hour clinic, online exam (60%), two Level 2 evaluations from two separate evaluators. At least 16, and attended a Level 1 clinic at least two seasons earlier. |
| 3 | E-module or case study, 5-hour clinic, online exam (60%), three Level 3 evaluations from two separate evaluators. At least 16. |
| 4 | E-module or case study, 2-day clinic, online exam (80%), four Level 4 evaluations from three separate evaluators. At least 16. |
| 5 | On ice at 3 Canadian Ringette Championships within 5 years, ranked top 15 at 2 in a row, assigned to a bronze or gold medal game 2 years in a row, and shows leadership. At least 16. |
- Officials must be evaluated every season or they lose a number rank for each season missed.
- In a rule-change year every official must take the refresher: Level 1 officials active less than 2 seasons take the Level 1 course, Levels 2 and 3 take Refresher 2/3, Levels 4 and 5 take Refresher 4/5. An official who skips it cannot continue to officiate.
- Provinces train officials only up to Level 3. Ringette Canada runs Levels 4 and 5.
