Near fall rules (since 2025-26):
- Near-fall criteria must be met for at least two seconds.
- A near fall ends when the defensive wrestler escapes. Only one near fall is scored per pinning situation, and you signal it after the situation ends.
Technical fall:
- Earned with a 15-point advantage.
- If a near fall, or a takedown or reversal straight into a near fall, creates the 15-point lead, wrestling continues until near-fall criteria are no longer met, then the match ends.
- Once a technical fall is earned, the offensive wrestler can't lose the match.
