What happens if a URC play-off match or the Grand Final ends in a draw?

Knockout matches can't end level. If the scores are tied at full time:

1. Extra time is played. In the Grand Final it is two periods of 10 minutes each.
2. If still level, the team that has scored more tries in the match wins.
3. If tries are also level, a place-kick competition decides it.

Place-kick competition

• Each team nominates three goal kickers, who take six place kicks between them from set positions.
• The team with more successful kicks wins. If still tied after six kicks each, it goes to sudden death.
• Only players on the field at the final whistle of extra time may kick. Replacements who have left the field, players who have been sent off and players still in the sin bin cannot take part.
