How many teams are promoted to the Betway Premiership?

One automatically, and possibly a second through the play-off (NSL Handbook Rule 7):
- The Championship winner (1st) is promoted automatically to the Betway Premiership.
- The clubs finishing 2nd and 3rd go into the promotion play-off with the Premiership's 15th-placed club. If either Championship club wins it, that club is promoted too.
The Championship winner also receives the National First Division League trophy and 35 winners' gold medals (Rule 6.2).
