Yes, with a like-for-like Concussion Replacement, if:
- the head or neck injury happened during play and inside the playing area,
- the team doctor or medical representative has formally diagnosed a concussion or suspected concussion, and
- the team submits a request to the Betway SA20 Match Referee as soon as possible, naming the replacement from the list of concussion replacements nominated before the toss.
The Match Referee should normally approve a replacement who will play the same role as the injured player without giving the team an excessive advantage. If the nominated player would give too much advantage, the Match Referee can set conditions on how they're used. The decision is final and can't be appealed.
The replacement inherits any warnings, penalty time and suspensions the concussed player had picked up in the match.
