When a team's overs are reduced, the number of fielding restriction overs is cut according to a table. It applies to both innings. If the recalculated number is no longer achievable after an interruption, the closest achievable whole number applies. If an innings is interrupted mid-over and the required restriction overs have already been bowled, the rest of that over is not subject to the restrictions. Any infringement of the fielding restrictions is called and signalled as a No ball by either umpire.
