In each innings, each team can make a maximum of one unsuccessful Player Review.
- A review that results in the on-field decision being reversed is "successful" and does not count towards that limit.
- Only the batter involved in a dismissal can request a review of an out decision, and only the captain (or acting captain) of the fielding team can request a review of a not out decision.
- The playing conditions require full-broadcast DRS in 33 matches. The other 10 matches are non-DRS and use only Umpire Reviews (reviews started by the on-field umpires).
- In DRS matches the third umpire can use broadcast replays, stump microphone audio, approved ball-tracking (HawkEye or VirtualEye) and approved sound-based edge detection (Real-Time Snickometer or UltraEdge). Heat-based edge detection is not available in WBBL matches.
- In a Super Over, each team is allowed one unsuccessful Player Review per innings.
