What happens if a finals match is tied, abandoned or has no result?

If a Super Over cannot be completed (or further Super Overs are not possible), or the match has no result or is abandoned:

• Qualifier Final, Knockout Final or Challenger Final: the home team (the highest placed team) is declared the winner.
• The Final: it has a reserve day. If both teams have not batted for at least 5 overs by the call of Time on the scheduled day, the Final is replayed on the reserve day. The reserve day starts as a new match, with a new toss.
• If the rescheduled Final on the reserve day is tied (with no Super Over possible), has no result or is abandoned, the home team (the highest placed team) is declared the winner and BBL Champion.
• No other finals match has a reserve day.

Cricket Australia may also relocate the Final, on the scheduled day or the reserve day, if it believes the Final may be materially affected by adverse ground conditions, weather, bad light or other circumstances.
