Criterium:
- Criterium circuits run from 800 to 3000 metres.
- For security reasons, lapped riders are asked to leave the race. For stage races, the President of the Commissaire Panel decides before the race how their time is calculated, and explains the method at the Team Managers' meeting.
- If the panel adopts another regulation on passing, it must be announced to all riders before the start, in both official languages if requested.
- A rider must return to the race behind the same group they were in. There is no free lap in the last 5 km or 5 laps, unless otherwise communicated in the event Technical Guide at the discretion of the President of the Commissaire Panel and the Technical Delegate.
Individual time trial:
- In Canadian Championships the starting order is set by Cycling Canada or the Commissaires Panel. The top 5 finishers of the previous year's National Championships start last, in reverse order of their classification.
- The organizer must provide a UCI-compliant measuring jig for every national calendar competition that includes a time trial, and the President of the Commissaires' Panel checks it complies with the UCI specifications.
