What are the kit and colours rules?

SAFA Competitions Uniform Rule 29

• Wear the official home or away colours declared on your registration form.
• Bring a spare outfit in contrasting colours to every match.
• If colours clash, the visiting team changes (the home team wears what it chooses). If the visitors have no alternative and the match is abandoned, they forfeit the match points.
• The two goalkeepers must wear contrasting colours.
• Shirts must be clearly numbered, matching the team sheet and registration form.
• Club sponsor advertising needs written permission from SAFA's Competitions Committee, and can't be for tobacco or alcohol on the front of the shirt.

IFAB Law 4 (2026/27)

• Compulsory: shirt with sleeves, shorts, socks, shinguards covered by the socks, and footwear.
• Nothing dangerous. Accessories are allowed only if not dangerous and safely and securely covered.
