Gymnastics South Africa's coaching education structure:
- Fundamentals Training (optional): an introduction to gymnastics coaching.
- Gymnastics Leaders course: the formal starting point that every coach's education must begin with.
- Safeguarding Coaches Training: compulsory for all coaches (Course 2, Safeguarding Practice).
- Generic Theory for Level 1.
- Discipline-specific practical skills and routine workshops for Levels 1 to 3, then Level 4+.
- FIG Academy programmes run by the International Gymnastics Federation for further education.
GSA recommends every coach holds at least a Level 1 First Aid certificate. Qualification certificates appear on your profile on the GSA Management System when you complete a course.
