England Netball relaunched its Bee Leader learning in April 2026 (CIMSPA-endorsed). There are three routes, depending on what you already hold:
| Route | Who it's for | What's involved | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bee Leader Certificate (Teacher) | Holders of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Your school must have the free primary school membership | 2 hours of self-led online learning, done within 6 months | £30 |
| Bee Leader Certificate (Coach) | Holders of the England Netball Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Coaching Netball (other providers' awards aren't accepted) | 2 hours of self-led online learning, done within 6 months | £30 members, £40 non-members |
| Bee Leader Award | Everyone else, including people who hold only the Level 1 Award | 2 hours online plus a 4-hour in-person workshop and assessment | £110 members, £130 non-members |
- You must be 18 on the day you book a Certificate. You can start the Award from 16, but you can't deliver on your own until 18. Until then you must be supervised by a Level 2 or 3 coach or an adult Bee Leader.
- The Teacher Certificate only lets you work as a Bee Leader in school.
- You need an ENgage account to book. Membership isn't required, but members pay less.
