Under the ACA National Competition Rules 2026-27, national points races use these age groups, based on age as of December 31:
- U14: 12 to 13 years old
- U16: 14 to 15 years old
- (U18 is 16 to 17 and U21 is 18 to 20.)
Points racers must hold a current ACA competitor card and number; competitors may not race in ACA-sanctioned events entered into the national points list without a valid national card. A NAT codex (national points) can be assigned to a race for U14 and older.
The ACA U16 Regional Championships (West for AB, BC, MB, SK and YT with no quota; East for NB, NL, NS, ON, PE and QC) cover slalom, giant slalom, super-G training and super-G, and a fitness and skills combine, with optional team parallel and ski cross. East quotas per gender are 10 each for NB, NL, NS and PE and 30 each for ON and QC. Competitions on the FIS calendar and these championships follow national and international rules.
