What do I need to be allowed on the competition floor as a coach?

• A current USA Gymnastics Competitive Coach membership, in good standing, with all membership requirements met. Membership runs August 1 to July 31.
• Be pre-registered for the meet through the USA Gymnastics Meet Reservation system, and show your current electronic membership card (or an event credential verified by the Meet Director) at sign-in. You may be asked for it again in the competition area.
• Every team needs at least one active coach on the floor, and every coach on the floor must be a member.
• Minor coaches (16-17) must be accompanied by an adult Competitive Coach member.
• Coach only your own club's gymnasts, unless another coach asks for help or a gymnast has no coach.

While you're there, you must:

• Be present for all warm-up and competition sessions, and attend all coaches' meetings.
• Direct questions about apparatus, judging or the schedule to the Meet Referee or Meet Director, never directly to a judge.
• Tell your gymnasts and their parents to bring concerns to you.
• Stay with and be responsible for your athletes during travel, training, off hours and competition.
