- Umpires
Cricket Australia's umpire accreditation and pathway page lists three levels:
- Community Accreditation (Community Officiating)
- Representative Accreditation (Representative Officiating)
- High Performance, which the page only links to the "High Performing Umpires" section of cricket.com.au
How to start: the page says to contact your State Umpire Manager. It notes the old learning platform has closed and a new one was due to launch in early 2026. Cricket Australia's umpire resources page links the learning platform (https://learn.cricket.com.au/), OfficialsHQ registration (https://cricket-registration.officialshq.com/), state and territory contacts, and the Umpire Development Playbook.
Pathways for getting involved: Cricket Australia lists Junior Cricket Umpire, Community Umpire and Premier Cricket Umpire pages under its umpire section.
Validity: accreditation lasts four years. Reaccreditation keeps umpires current with the Laws of Cricket, interpretations and umpiring techniques.
Resources: Cricket Australia publishes Community Umpiring Technique Guidelines, which it encourages community associations to adopt, plus the Umpires Code of Behaviour.
