- World Triathlon Rules 2026
Triathlon Canada does not publish a separate age-group rulebook. Its age-group page points to the World Triathlon Competition Rules and says they are written for elite competition and are not fully enforced at community events, so a race may differ. Triathlon BC says sanctioned events are expected to comply with World Triathlon and Triathlon Canada Competition Rules.
The answers in this FAQ come from the World Triathlon Competition Rules, version of 13 December 2025 with amendments marked to 29 April 2026, and the sections that apply to age-group athletes. Where an answer comes from Triathlon Canada or a provincial body, it says so.
Triathlon Canada's age-group stream covers super sprints, kids and youth races, relays, para triathlon, duathlons, aquathlons, aquabikes, long-distance events, cross triathlon and winter triathlon.
