Can I get a copy of my classification paperwork, and how is my information protected?

Paralympics Australia's classification FAQs say classification information is protected by law, and athletes can access their own information through their sporting organisation. Paperwork is not provided directly to others: it is only provided to the athlete or their guardian, under the consent form signed before classification.
The FAQs also describe Intentional Misrepresentation, where an athlete appears more impaired than they are. It damages sport, and suspected cases can be reported confidentially through Paralympics Australia's integrity channels. Unverified claims should not be spread. If you are concerned about how you were treated during classification, raise it with the classifier or through Paralympics Australia's reporting channels.
