Air Nation events run under the FIS International Competition Rules (ICR). Under the ICR (June 2026 edition):
- Judges take five criteria into account: execution, difficulty, amplitude, variety and progression.
- Each judge gives each run a whole-number score out of 100, judging the run from start to finish as an overall impression.
- With 6 or more scoring judges, the highest and lowest scores are discarded and the rest count. With up to 5 scoring judges, all scores count.
- Judges take falls, mistakes and stops into consideration and can deduct points for each fall or stop.
- Some slopestyle events can use section-by-section judging instead, where trick judges and composition judges each score out of 100 and their scores are combined (the ICR recommends 60% from trick judges and 40% from composition judges).
