A sport class is a T or an F followed by a number.
- T (track) covers all running, wheelchair track and road events, and all jumping events.
- F (field) covers the throwing events in the field.
- The number shows the type of impairment and how it affects the athlete's body. For example, 11 to 13 is vision impairment, 20 is intellectual impairment, 30s are coordination impairments, 40s are standing classes for short stature, limb loss, muscle weakness or restricted joints without prosthetics, 50s are wheelchair or throwing frame classes, and 60s are prosthetic classes.
A class such as T/F11-13 means the same numbers apply on both the track and in the field.
